Possible Problems

The Vitotrol 100 is set incorrectly

Rooms are too cold

The wireless connection to the 

boiler control unit is interrupted 

(only for Vitotrol 100, type UTDB-RF 

with wireless connection). 

At the receiver unit , the display      

flashes

Change the address code (see page 

15)

Rooms are too hot

The Vitotrol 100 is incorrectly set

Check the settings and correct if 

required:

•  Time program (see page 6)

•  Room temperature (see page 9)

•  Time (see page 12)

Change the batteries (see below)

Faults with Controller

Replacing the Batteries

•  Use only alkaline batteries 1.5V
•  Never use rechargeable batteries
•  Replace 

both

 batteries every 18 months

The Vitotrol 100 has a power reserve of 3 
minutes. If you replace the batteries within this 
time, all set data is retained. If power reserve 
has been exceeded, a reset will need to be 
carried out (see below for more information).

Reset

Press the reset button with a suitable 
instrument. After a reset, the language, time and 
date will need to be set again.
