2.3 Installation instructions
Before mounting the BPP, according to the included mounting
instructions, set the jumpers and make the connections according to
how you intend to use the BPP.
2.3.1 VE.Net only
•
Connect the BPP to the VE.Net network using a standard cat5
cable with two RJ45 connectors (not supplied).
•
Remove the jumper from J2.
•
Optional
1
– supply power to J1 (9-70 V).
2.3.2 VE.Bus only
•
Connect the BPP to the VE.Bus system using a standard cat5
cable with two RJ45 connectors (not supplied).
•
Supply power to J1 (9-70 V).
•
Ensure that the jumper at J2 is placed.
2.3.3 VE.Net and VE.Bus
•
Connect the BPP to the VE.Net network using a standard cat5
cable with two RJ45 connectors (not supplied).
•
Connect the BPP to the VE.Bus system using a standard cat5
cable with two RJ45 connectors (not supplied).
•
Ensure that the jumper at J2 is placed.
•
Optional

– supply power to J1 (9-70 V).
If desired, an external alarm can be connected to the potential free
contact.

The BPP can either be powered from VE.Net, or from J1. In order to power from VE.Net, a
device capable of powering the network must be connected. Such devices include the
VE.Net Battery Controller, and the VE.Net Generator Module. When powering from the
network, jumpers must be placed at J11 and J12. When powering from J1, the jumpers can
be removed from J11 and J12 in order to provide complete galvanic isolation from the
network.
