It is possible that all inputs to the terminal remote unit (see
Remote Unit RVS 6 in Figure 3-1) may be combiner inputs.
In this
case, the first
combiner card, with inputs numbered 1 through
8, is assigned camera numbers 1 through 135, which are the combined
outputs from Remote Units RVS 1 and 2.
Combiner card 2 (inputs
numbered 9 through 16) is assigned the camera numbers from Remote
Unit RVS 3, numbers 136 through 170, and so on until all camera
inputs into all remote switcher units have been programmed into the
terminal remote unit.
When all matrix input programming is complete for a remote unit,
select STORE MATRIX DATA and press ENTER.

3.3.4 ASSIGNING ALARM INPUTS TO REMOTE UNITS
Remote video switching units may have provision for alarm signal
inputs via X-IA alarm interface units.
The X-IA inputs are assigned
numbers beginning with 1 at each remote video switcher unit, but
alarm numbers are assigned serially for the entire system.
This is
similar to the assignment of camera numbers to matrix input numbers
described in section 3.3.3.
To display the programming screen for this function, select SET
ALARM INPUTS from the Master Menu (3).
