Disinfecting the mattress

If spilt fluids have contaminated the inner mattress as a result of severe incontinence, 

and when transferring the mattress to another user, the mattress must be cleaned and 

disinfected to avoid cross contamination.

• Remove all cells from the inner mattress. Note the number of cells in each 

compartment.

• Remove the foam layer.

• Machine wash the empty inner mattress at 60° C.

• Use a mild detergent to clean the individual cells, and then spray disinfectant on 

them.

• Machine wash the outer cover using an anti-bacterial agent.

• Allow all parts to dry and re-assemble the inner mattress.

• Spray disinfectant on the outer cover and the inner mattress. 

Vicair offers a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for a 

period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase, provided the product has 

been used normally. Any damage arising from abnormal use, or caused by improper 

handling, cleaning or negligence is excluded from this warranty. Should a defect 

in materials or workmanship occur within five (5) years from the original date of 

purchase, Vicair will, at its own choice, repair or replace the product free of charge. 

The outer cover is excluded from this warranty.

Remedies for breach of express warranties herein are limited to repair or replacement 

of the product. In no event shall damages for breach of any warranty include any 

consequential damages or exceed the cost of non-conforming goods sold.
