South Bridge VIA VX900 Configuration
The South Bridge VIA VX900 Configuration screen has seven features.

6.9.2.1.
SATA Gen2 Support
The SATA Gen2 Support feature enables to BIOS to determine whether SATA 3Gb/s or 1.5Gb/s specifications are
followed. This feature has two options: enabled or disabled.
6.9.2.2.
OnChip HDAC Device
The OnChip HDAC Device feature enables the BIOS to control the high definition audio codec in the chipset. This
feature has two options: enable and disable.

Serial ATA Controller
The Serial ATA Controller feature enables the BIOS to turn the SATA controller in the chipset on or off. This feature has
two options: enabled and disabled.
6.9.2.4.
HPET Support
The HPET Support feature enables the BIOS to determine if the high precision event timer in the chipset is on or off.
This feature has two options: enabled or disabled.

WATCHDOG Timer Enable
The WATCHDOG Timer Enable feature unlocks three other features that enable the BIOS to monitor the state of the
system. This feature has two options: enabled or disabled.

WATCHDOG Timer RUN/STOP
The WATCHDOG Timer RUN/STOP feature controls if the WATCHDOG timer is active or dormant. This feature has two
options: stop and run.
6.9.2.7.
WATCHDOG Timer ACTION
The WATCHDOG Timer ACTION feature determines the action the WATCHDOG timer should take if the timer counts
down to zero. This feature has two options: reset and power off.

WATCHDOG Timer COUNT
The WATCHDOG Timer COUNT feature determines the length of time the timer should count when the timer is first
triggered. This feature has four options: 72, 389, 706, and 1023 seconds.

Keyboard/Mouse Wakeup Control
The Keyboard/Mouse Wakeup Control feature enables the BIOS to allow keyboard or mouse activity to activate a
system in a suspended state. This feature has two options: enabled and disabled.
