High elevation
The water heater can be installed at elevations under 4,500 ft (1,370
m) with no additional settings. If you are installing the water heater
at elevations above 4,500 ft (1,370 m), it is recommended that you
perform a Self-adjusting Mode. For more information about Self-

Position
Caution
Do not mount the water heater to unsubstantial flooring or
unreinforced dry wall.
The water heater can be mounted either on the floor or to the
wall. For easy installation, use the mounting bracket to mount
the water heater to standard wall studs. If the strength of the wall
is insufficient and or if the framing is non-standard or uneven,
reinforce the area before installation. If the floor is uneven or not
rigid enough to support the water heater, level and reinforce the
floor. Avoid installation in unstable locations as the water heater will
make some operational noises while it is running.
Notice
Consider vent length and surrounding circumstances when mounting
the water heater.
