Tires / Wheels
Pantera has 20 x 4 rubber tires with inner tubes mounted on 5 spokes rims.
The internal tubes can get a puncture. Repairing a puncture must be performed the same way as with standard bicycles.
If you have any doubts, take your e-bike to a professional bicycle repair center for a repair or replacement of the tube.
The recommended pressure of the tires by the manufacturer is: 2 bar.
It is essential that the proper air pressure is maintained in the tires all the time.
Inflate your tires with a regulated air source, that can be checked on a manometer.
When tire wear becomes obvious or a hole in the tire is found, you must replace the tire and/or the inner tube.
E-Bikes are heavier and faster than normal bicycles. For this reasons they have a higher demand of
maintenance. We invite you to check the condition of your e-bike before riding it. In particular:
How a tire performs under different terrain or weather conditions depends largely on tire pressure. Inflating the tire close the
maximum recommended pressure gives the lowest rolling resistance, but also produces the hardest ride. High pressure works
fine on smooth, dry surface. On the other hand, low pressure will give a smoother ride on hard pavement like cobblestone and
gives you more grip on loose surface like sand.
Never inflate a tire beyond the maximum pressure marked on the tires sidewalls. Exceeding the recommended
maximum pressure can blow the tire off, the rim, damage the rim, or cause damage to the bike and injury the rider
or other people.
