• Do not use the coupler if spring (4), lock
washer (5), or clamping lip (6) are
missing or assembled incorrectly.
• Ensure square head of the bolt (7) is in
the square cavity of the clamping lip.
• The hitch must be properly assembled
as shown.
• Clamping lip (6) must be engaged at
location (8). If it is not properly
engaged:
Step 1: Fully disassemble the hitch.
Step 2: Engage tongue (9) of the clamping lip into recess (10).
Step 3: Hinge the lip forward to its operating position and assemble hitch.
IMPORTANT: Only use genuine replacement parts. Do not make any substitutions for the loop nut or the square head bolt.

Inspect pintle hitch for wear and damage. If wear exceeds 1/8" (3 mm) from the
original surface profile, replace the pintle ring (1). Contact your Vermeer dealer for
approved parts. Torque mounting bolts to 80 ft-lb (108 Nm).
