PH PUMP PROGRAMMING AND CALIBRATION
pH PROPORTIONAL DOSING
This kind of dosing is proportional to the distance of the pH measure from the desired Setpoint.
Proportionality is achieved by modulating the pump flow rate from 10-100% of the maximum flow.
The proportionality range and the verse are freely programmable (
SetP
. end
T.Max
).
There is a fixed hysteresis in the dosage range of 0.05pH. This hysteresis avoids unwanted dosing in the case of use of
unstable probes.
SetP
. = Setpoint, desired value of measure
T.Max
= Maximum Threshold, value of the measure that defines the range of proportionality and the direction of the
dosing. When the measure reaches the maximum threshold, the pump flow rate is maximum.
Flow.Max
=% Maximum flow rate
Del.On
= seconds expected by the pump before dosing when the setpoint is exceeded
EXAMPLE OF SETTING THE SETPOINT
:
In the
Dosing
menu, select "
Proportional
" by the
cursor and press
ENTER
.
The factory parameters are shown in the figure on the
left.
Use the ▼ ▲buttons to move the cursor and select
the parameter to be modified and press
ENTER
to
enter the modification.
Use the ▼ ▲ keys to select the desired value and
press the
ENTER
button each time to confirm the
change.
If you want to esc programming and return to
measurement, press
ESC
for 3 seconds.
The factory settings allow to dose ACID to lower the pH in the plant.
With a measure equal to or greater than 8.20pH the pump doses at 80% of the maximum flow.
With a measure equal to or less than 7.20pH the pump does not dose.
With a measure between 7.20pH and 8.20pH the pump doses proportionally to the distance of the measure from the
setpoint.
Example:
-measure = 7.70pH, the pump will dose at 45%
-measure = 7.90pH the pump will dose at 59%.
