INSTALLATION
Use the plugs to fi x the bottom of the sounder in the chosen position. Do not install it on metal
surfaces which may have a negative impact on radio range. Avoid proximity to possible magnetic
fi elds, such as electrical panels, electrical meters, cranes, scaffolding, etc... Do not put the side of the
sounder where internal antennas are located close to iron girders, sheet metal niches, etc. Place the
sounder as close as possible to the ATX2/S and ATX3 boards.
Run several tests to check if the sounder works properly: from the control panel where the ATX board
has been previously installed, transmit an alarm signal and the activation/de-activation signal. Fasten
the metal protection sheet and close the cover with the provided screws, then place the fl ash cover.
Run again the radio range verifi cation.
Notes on sounder anti-tampering
After inserting the batteries, the sounder anti-tampering circuit is not processed until the two reed
bulbs installed on the circuit are closed through their magnets for at least
5 seconds
.
When a tampering attempt is detected, the sounder
immediately sends
a
TAMPER
signal to the
control panel, and then an alarm cycle starts.
To enable the opening of the cover without triggering off an alarm, the anti-tampering circuit is not
processed for the fi rst
15
seconds
after each reception of de-activated system signal. The system
will be operative again after re-installation of the cover and a pause of
5 seconds
.
Notes on low battery level verifi cation
When battery level drops below
6 Volts
, the signal is included in all trasmissions to ATX2/S or ATX3
module. The sound frequency
doubles
and the electronic panel fl ashes more
quickly
.
