INSTALLATION OF BRACKET ASSEMBLY
Parts:
Pos. 1 Bracket assembly.
Fixing parts
The bracket assembly serves as a
connector between car and hand
control. It comprises:
Base rail (1)
Base plate (2)
Joint (3)
Base rail and base plate are bolted together and fixed to suitable points in the car,
preferably the fixing points for the seat. If these are inaccessible, other e.g. on
the centre hump,may be used for the purpose. Drill base rail where necessary.
If necessary, other parts may be welded to the base rail.
The bracket must be positioned in such a way that after installation of the hand
control (in idle position) a 90° angle between the driver´s upper and lower arm
is achieved. The base plate must be bent in such a way that the front of the hand
control points between accelerator and brake pedal. The joint stabilizes the
bracket. It has to bolted or welded to base rail and plate. The final welding should
be done only after the hand control has been tested for proper function.

ACHTUNG!
If other parts are welded to the rail, they must be made of weldable steel,
having a minimum tensile strength of 340 Nm!
ACHTUNG!
When installing the bracket, make sure that the hand control can travel freely
and without touching the dashboard, in case of an emergency braking.
When the bracket is used for a COMPACT or BASIC hand control, also
ensure that the hand control can travel freely backwards to achieve a full
kickdown.
