Water Alarm Filter Level
During the delivery process, turbulence
m
ay be generated in the tanks that
m
ay cause the water float to rise above the water alar
m
thresholds and trig-
ger false water alar
m
s. In addition, a delivery of fuel containing water and/
or surface water flooding the area and entering the tank through a riser or
other opening
m
ay result in significant quantities of water entering the
underground tanks.The Water Alar
m
Filter Level feature increases the sys-
te
m
’s ability to respond to all of these situations. This field provides three
choices of filtering:
Low
- This is the quickest response to either flooding or water delivery sce-
narios and is the default choice. The water alar
m
will be reported 3
m
inutes
after the water level has crossed the progra
mm
ed threshold. A delivery
m
ay
be in progress during this alar
m
.
Medium
- This level disables the water/alar
m
m
onitor during a delivery.
The delivery detection threshold will be set to 25 GPM. This will be s
m
all
enough to detect
m
ost deliveries and large enough to not
m
istakenly identify
a delivery when water is leaking into a tank during a flooding situation. This
filter will only be applied to the water alar
m
.
High
- The level follows the sa
m
e behavior as the
m
ediu
m
level filter. The
delivery activity detection rate is raised to 6 GPM; (roughly equivalent to the
current delivery detection rate). The
m
axi

u

Wait Ti
m
e will be increased
to 45 Minutes and the Maxi
m
u
m
Height Value will be increased to 10 inches.

Leak Alarm Limit
[Applies to SLD tests only]
During a leak test, the leak alar
m
li
m
it alerts you when the cu
m
ulative te
m
-
perature co
m
pensated (TC) product loss fro
m
a tank reaches the leak alar
m
li
m
it value and helps identify large losses of product during a leak test.
To prevent false reports and alar
m
s fro
m
being triggered, do not set the li
m
it
value to identify losses of 0.2 gph (0.76 lph) or less during the test period.
The leak alar
m
li
m
it should be set to identify losses of 1 gph (4 lph) or
greater.
Consider both the leak rate you wish to identify, and the length of the test,
when deter
m
ining a value for leak alar
m
li
m
it. For exa
m
ple, a value of 8 gal-
lons (32 liters) will warn of:
• A 1 gph (4 lph) leak in 8 hours
• A 2 gph (8 lph) leak in 4 hours
NOTE:
The console auto
m
atically interprets the li
m
it you enter as a negative.
It is not necessary to enter the
m
inus (-) sign.
Sudden Loss Limit
[Applies to SLD and Ti
m
ed Sudden Loss Detection (TSLD) tests only]
This value allows the syste
m
to look for significant losses during a quiet
period to deter
m
ine if the tank is leaking or fuel has left the tank (e.g., by
bypassing the dispenser
m
eters). It is not based on TC Volu
m
e and is
intended to identify losses larger than the leak alar
m
li
m
it. The default is 99
gallons (374.7 liters) but can be set to 1 to 999,999 gallons (3.78 to 3781.63
liters). Typically, you should set this li
m
it to 25 gallons (100 liters) or higher.
If you are getting too
m
any false alar
m
s, consider increasing this li
m
it.
Note: Siphoned-
m
anifolded tanks are
m
onitored as a single tank. The Sud-
den Loss Li
m
it threshold is the su
m
of the thresholds for each
m
e
m
ber of the
m
anifolded set.
Density Low Limit
[Field only available if density probe is installed]
Triggers density warning (when greater than the value you enter here plus
1.00kg/
m
3 (0.062 lbs/ft3) and a density alar
m
.
Density High Limit
[Field only available if density probe is installed]
Triggers density warning (when greater than the value you enter here
m
inus
1.00kg/
m
3 (0.062 lbs/ft3) and a density alar
m
.
Fuel Low Temperature Limit
The li
m
it that triggers a low fuel te
m
perature alar
m
. The default is -50
degrees Celsius (-58 degrees Fahrenheit). The alar
m
clears when the fuel in
the tank returns to a te
m
perature that is two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees
Fahrenheit) higher than this te
m
perature.
Fuel High Temperature Limit
The li
m
it that triggers a high fuel te
m
perature alar
m
. The default is 60
degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The alar
m
clears when the fuel in
the tank returns to a te
m
perature that is two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees
Fahrenheit) lower than this te
m
perature.
