4.8. Using Price Look-Up (PLU numbers)
– By pressing the
key, the scale enters in
select PLU number mode and the last entered article (item) is displayed. A new PLU number can be
entered directly from the keypad and then confirmed by pressing
key. After selecting the new
article, its unit price is shown in “Price, euro/kg” line on the display. To clear the price of the article
press
key.
4.9. Label printing
– After measuring the load on the scale and entering its PLU number, a
label can be printed via a connected label printer by pressing
key. All the data from the current
measure (weight, price, barcode, name of the article, durability and etc.) is sent to the printer and a
label is printed out in accordance to a programmed form.
5. Work with the menus and service mode functions of the scale
To enter the main menu of the scale, press
key. To enter a submenu and confirm the selected
setting/parameter, press
key. Moving between the different submenus and parameters is done
with

keys.
Entering the submenu Bat, the display shows
voltage of the built-in rechargeable battery in Volts.
Entering the submenu Fine, the display shows the
measured weight in high resolution in grams. In this
mode the price-computing, label printing and all
data transmission over the serial interfaces is
forbidden.
In this submenu, a protocol for connection with the
first serial interface is selected. The sustained
protocols are:
OFF – the port if turned off;
Pr1 – Protocol VEDIA with uninterrupted weight
transmission;
Pr2 – Protocol VEDIA with a single time weight
transmission after external command or pressing

Pr3 – Protocol for Datecs cash-registers;
Pr4 – Protocol for connection with a PC and cash-
registers produced by “Zavod Electronica”,
“ZEKA”, “Orgtechnika”;
Pr5 – Protocol for “ZIT”cash-registers.
After each change of the protocol, the scale is
restarted.
