Indicators and gauges can signal that something is wrong
before it becomes serious enough to cause an expensive
repair or replacement.
Malfunction indicators come on when there is, or may
be, a problem with one of your scooter’s functions. Some
indicators come on briefly when you turn the key switch
ON just to let you know they are working. Once you are
familiar with this section, you should not be alarmed when
this happens.
When one of the indicators comes on and stays on as
your are riding, or when one of the gauges shows there
may be a problem, check the section that tells you what to
do about it. Please follow this manual’s advice. Waiting to
do repairs can be costly and even dangerous. Please get
to know your scooter’s indicators and gauges; they can be
a big help.
