Info Points function
Some databases support your navigation system’s Info Points function with a visual
and audible indication of important points along your route. Different providers of
travel and traffic information have optimised these specifically for navigation systems.
☞
Select “Info Points” in the “Settings” menu.
☞
Select the required product from the list of available products.
☞
Activate or deactivate the desired categories.
☞
In the product list, activate the options next to the speaker symbol to receive an
audible message when you approach the selected info points.
☞
Store the modified settings with “Store”.
✎
As you approach an Info Point, the navigation system displays a corresponding
message about this point.
✎
“INFO” will give you more details about this info point. With some categories (e.g.
in the case of hotels and restaurants), it is possible to transfer the info point directly
into the guidance facility and plan a route to it.
Travel info
Through the “Travel info” function you have easy access to travel guide information
from various suppliers. Depending on the travel info product used, a range of
information can be called up from external providers. This could be hotel, restaurant
and shopping guides and tourist information, for example.
A search engine is used for searches within the travel info. This has a similar structure
to the search engines on the internet.
The information displayed may contain text, pictures, links, addresses and telephone
numbers. You can transfer the address of a hotel to the navigation system directly
from the travel guide, for example.
