EMERGENCY PROCEDURE

Carry out a first aid procedure appropriate to the injury
and seek qualified medical assistance as soon as possible.
Protect the injured person from further harm and calm
them down. If you are seeking help, please provide the
following information: 1. Location of accident, 2. Type of
accident, 3. Number of people injured, 4. Type (s) of injury.

SAFETY WARNINGS

1. Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause
hearing loss.
2. Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces
when performing an operation where the cutting attach-
ment may meet hidden wires. Cutting attachment that
meets a “live” wire can cause exposed metal parts of the
power tool to “live” and could cause an electric shock to
the operator.
3. Wear protective gear. Always wear safety glasses when
working with the machine. The use of protective clothing,
such as a dust mask, protective gloves, resistant non-slip
footwear and hearing protectors is recommended.
4. The dust produced when using this tool can be harmful
to health. Do not inhale the dust. Use a dust absorber
system and wear a suitable protective mask. Remove the
deposited dust thoroughly, e.g. with a vacuum cleaner.
5. Do not machine any material that presents a health
hazard (e.g. asbestos).
6. This machine is suitable for dry sanding only.
7. Do not reach into the machine while it is running. Chips
and chips must not be removed while the machine is
running.
8. Always use the protective screens on the machine.
9. Do not use cracked or deformed saw blades. Plunge
cuts without pre-drilling a hole is possible with soft mate-
rials (wood, lightweight building materials for walls).
10. When working on walls, ceiling, or floor, be careful
to avoid electrical cables and gas or water pipes. Secure
your workpiece with a clamping device. Loose workpieces
can cause serious injury and damage.

BATTERY

Risk of fire! Risk of explosion!

Never use damaged, defective, or deformed batteries.
Never open or damage the accumulator or drop it on the
ground.
Protect the battery from heat and fire.
The battery should be used in ambient temperatures
between 10 ° C and + 40 ° C only.
Never place the battery on heaters and do not expose it to
strong sunlight for a long time. After being subjected to a
heavy load, first allow the battery to cool down.
Short circuit: do not bridge the accumulator contacts with
metal parts. The accumulator must be packaged (plastic
bag, box) or the accumulator contacts must be sealed for
disposal, transportation, or storage.
The “Güde” charger must only be used to charge the
battery. There may be a malfunction or fire if different
chargers are used.
Vapours can escape in case of unauthorized use or when
using a damaged battery. Bring fresh air and seek medical
attention if you have difficulties. Vapours can irritate the
respiratory system.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

1. I CANNOT FIT THE BATTERY INTO

THE BATTERY CHARGER. WHY?

The battery can be inserted into the charger only in one
direction. Turn the battery around until it can be inserted
into the slot.

2. REASONS FOR DIFFERENT BATTER PACK

WORKING TIMES.

Charging time issues, as above, and having not used a
battery pack for a porlonged time will reduce the wor-
king life of the battery pack. This can be corrected after
several charge and discharge operations by charging &
working with your drill. Heavy working conditions such as
large screws into than lighter working conditions. Do not
re-charge your battery pack below 0ºand above 50º as this
will affect performance.

3. HOT BATTERY PACK PROTECTION.

The normal charging temperature is between 0º and
50º. When the battery pack is too hot, it automatically starts
a HOT battery pack delay, and suspends charging until it
has reached the correct temperature. The charging process
will then automatically begin.

4. BATTERY PACK OVERLOAD AND

LOW-VOLTAGE PROTECTION.

When max. allowable battery current is exceeded during
working, the overload protection is activated to protect
the battery against overheating. When the battery is under
normal voltage during working, the power tool will cease
to operate.
