13.1
Electromagnetic Compatibility
Varex detectors generate, use, and radiate radio frequency (RF) energy. If not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, they may cause harmful interference to other devices or may
be affected by other equipment in the vicinity. There are no guarantees that installation does not
cause interference, regardless of whether everything is used appropriately.
If the equipment causes harmful interference to other devices or is affected by other equipment,
attempt to correct the interference by one or more of the following:
1
Reorient or relocate the receiving device.
2
Increase the separation between the equipment.
3
Connect the other device(s) into an outlet on a different circuit.
4
Consult the manufacturer or field service technician for help.
Because the detector is designed for incorporation into a complete X-ray system with various
configurations overall detector emissions and immunity are linked to the system
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) into which it is installed.
Varex detectors are suitable for use in the electromagnetic environments specified in this
manual. An X-ray system user must assure that the detector is used in an electromagnetic
environment as described.
