Important Safety Instructions
1.
Read these instructions.
2.
Keep these instructions.
3.
Heed all warnings.
4.
Follow all instructions.
5.
Do not use this apparatus near water.
6.
Clean only with dry cloth.
7.
Do not block any ventilation openings, Install following the
manufacturer’s instructions.
8.
Do not install near any heat source such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers)
that produce heat.
9.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or
grounding type plug. A grounding type plug has two
blades and a third grounding prong. Use the correct plug
supplied. If none of the provided plugs fit into the outlet,
consult a qualified electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
10.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the
point where they exit from the apparatus.
11.
Only use the attachments/accessories specified by the
manufacturer.
12.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods.
13.
In rack installations leave 1u of rack space above and
below for proper ventilation. If stacking more than one
amplifier, the same 1u of space must be maintained
between each amplifier. If installed in a bookcase, ensure
adequate ventilation as described below and maintain 1u
clearance between units when stacked. Leave 8” (20cm)
of free space at the top (or top of stack) and sides and 4”
(10cm) at the rear. The rear edge of the shelf or board
above the apparatus should be set 4” (10cm) away from
the rear panel or wall, creating a flue-like gap for warm air
to escape. Good airflow is necessary to help ensure proper
operation. A proper installation plan will provide enough
free space around the unit and ensure air flows freely and
is able to escape from the amplifier surroundings. Failure
to do so may cause thermal shutdown of the unit, or
reduced life expectancy. Avoid stacking if possible.
14.
Never expose the unit to moisture.
15.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing
is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any
way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged,
liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the
apparatus. The apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally, or has been
dropped.
16.
Damage requiring service.
Unplug the apparatus from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel under the
following conditions:
A) when the power supply cord or plug is damaged,
B) if liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into
the apparatus,
C) if the apparatus has been exposed to rain or water,
D) if the apparatus does not operate normally by
following the operating instructions. Adjust only
those controls covered by the operating
instructions as an improper adjustment of other
controls may result in damage and will often
require extensive work by a qualified technician to
restore the apparatus to its normal operation,
E) if the apparatus has been dropped or damaged in
any way, and,
F) when the apparatus exhibits a distinct change in
performance, this shows a need for service.
17.
Objects and/or Liquid Penetration.
Never push objects of any kind into the apparatus through
openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or
short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock.
The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or
splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the apparatus.
Do not put candles or other burning objects on top of this
apparatus.
WARNING:
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC
SHOCK. DO NOT EXPOSE THIS APPARATUS
TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.
CAUTION:
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTIC SHOCK,
DO NOT REMOVE COVER (OR BACK). NO
USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE, REFER
SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE
PERSONNEL.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an
equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the
presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within
the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient
magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle
is intended to alert the user to the presence of
important operating and maintenance (servicing)
instructions in the literature accompanying the
appliance.
