Appliance Preparation
Install HeatShift Take-Off Collars to Appliance
1. Install the collars on the holes on top of the appli-
ance’s case (6 screws each).
See “Appendix D—HeatShift™System” on page 72 for
more details regarding the installation.

Fit Appliance into Framing
1. Taking great care not to cut your hands on the sheet
metal edges, lift the appliance and place it in the
framing.
Make sure that the unit is at the right height
with consideration to the height of the hearth or com-
bustible
fl
ooring.
2. Fold out four front mounting tabs and recess the
appliance in the framing as shown.
3. Fasten the unit to framing using 4 screws or nails at
the mounting tabs.
Note:
The sheet metal front face of the appliance is

ush with the framing studs.
4. If desired and possible, screw the four
