CHANGING 2 SPEED GEARBOX OIL :
It is recommended to run the mixer for several
minutes to warm the oil before draining. Draining
oil while it is hot avoid sludge depositing.
-
Use SAE 80/90 gear oil or SAE 70/80 gear oil.
-
Check oil level monthly.
-
Change oil for the first time after 100 hours of
operation.
-
Thereafter, change the oil every 2000 hours of
operation or at least once a year, whichever
occurs first.
Changing oil :
1. Remove the air breather cap / filling plug (see
figure 5a / 5b).
2. Place a catch tub under the gearbox, unscrew
drain plug and let the oil flow out completely.
3. Reinstall the drain plug.
4. Remove oil level plug.
5. Pour oil slowly in the elbow until the oil comes
out of the oil level plug.
6. Reinstall and tighten all plugs.
Damage caused by operating the mixer with
lower oil level will not be covered by warranty.

MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT NOTICES :
-
Verify all safety guards regularly. Replace all
damaged or missing shield immediately.
-
Keep all safety decals clean. Replace if
removed or not readable.
-
Inspect knife bolts regularly, make sure they are
tight.
-
Auger knives must be replaced when the break-
up and cutting time of long stems materials get
longer and that there is an increase in horse-
power requirement.
-
If a welding job has to be performed on the
mixer, ALWAYS disconnect the power cords
from scale indicator. Always ground the weld
ing machine to the part to be welded to avoid
electrical current to pass through bearings,
gearbox or scale weigh bars.
