MAINTENANCE
FANS
Check the cleanliness of the fans when servicing the filters
and the heat recovery cell. Clean the fans as required.
The fans are very sensitive to external impacts, and it is
recommended that they be cleaned in place rather than
removing them.
You can clean the fan blades with compressed air or by
brushing them gently. Do not remove or move the fan
blade balancing weights.
Cleaning the fans
• Remove the extract air filter (C), the sealing strip (E),
and the heat recovery cell (D) from the unit following
the instructions provided earlier. The fans can now be
cleaned. The air flow control grilles (S) in the suction
outlets of the fans can be removed, if they are in the
way during cleaning. To remove the grilles, undo their
mounting screws (K) (3 screws/grille) and remove the
grilles from the fans. Put the control grilles back in
place after cleaning.
• To remove the fan, disconnect the quick connector
(H) of the supply air fan (T) and/or the extract air fan
(P) cables.
• Push the fan cables and the rubber feed through (I)
into the fan chamber.
• Remove the wing screws used to fasten the fans (J)
(3 screws/fan). The air flow control grille must be
removed from the extract air fan before the fan is
removed from the unit.
• Remove the fan from the unit by pulling it forward and
by tilting it slightly backwards at the same time.
Mounting the fans
• Ensure that the rubber feed throughs set in place
when reinstalling the fan. Fasten the fan in place with
wing screws (3 screws/fan). Ensure that the air flow
control grilles are in place.
