4 Operating the appliance
4.1 Using for the first time
Configuring the appliance
The appliance can be used in the extraction or recirculation mode. The appli-
ance is set up as a recirculation hood with 1.5 kg of activated charcoal ex-fact-
ory. With this setting, the service life of the activated charcoal filter is 450 op-
erating hours.
If the appliance is to be used as an extraction model, the saturation in-
dicator for the activated charcoal filter must be deactivated.
Checking the settings
▸ Switch the appliance off. Depress the button for three seconds.
– If the and buttons flash, the appliance is set up as an extraction
model.
– If the and buttons flash, the appliance is set up as a recirculation
model.
▸ To exit Check settings, no action is necessary as the display will switch it-
self off.
