Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the UV Angel Clean Air will be needed in addition to replacing the UV lamp and air

fi lter annually. The frequency of cleaning the fi xtures depends on the amount of debris and dust in the

environment, but even cleaning once a year will help. Follow these guidelines for cleaning UV Angel Clean Air

fi xtures leaving them looking and working great.

1.

Do not clean a light fi xture with the power on to avoid electrical hazards.  The switch and the breaker

should be turned off and the fi xture should be completely cooled prior to cleaning.

2.

Stand on a stable surface to protect yourself from accidents. Use a sturdy ladder instead of a chair.

Consider enlisting the help of a friend to have a second set of hands.

3.

The basic tool you will need is microfi ber towels. Never use a terry cloth towel since it can scratch the

surfaces of the fi xture. Microfi ber is also ideal for picking up dust, so you might not even need to clean

with anything more depending on the state of your fi xture.

4.

If there is excess dust build up in the vent louvers vacuum them with a soft brush nozzle prior to wiping

down.

5.

If the fi xture hasn’t been cleaned in a long time a cleaning solution may be needed. Use warm water and

any mild, non-abrasive household detergent like dish soap. Dampen a microfi ber towel with the solution

to whip down surfaces.  Then rinse those same surfaces with a separate towel dampened with clean water.

Dry with a clean towel.

6.

Assure the fi xture is dry prior reapplying power.
