ACTIVESYNC
CHANGE E-MAIL SECURITY OPTIONS
ActiveSync lets you set up S/MIME e-mail encryption and signing. You
will have to obtain a valid certificate for signing or encrypting e-mail
before you will be able to sign or encrypt e-mail successfully.

In the phone Home screen, press [Start], select
ActiveSync and press O [OK].

Press the right soft key

[Menu] select
[Options] and press

[OK].

Scroll to E-mail and press the right soft key

Settings.

Press [Menu] select Advanced and press

[OK].

Do one or both of the following:

To sign all outgoing messages so that a recipient
can be certain that the message as received was
sent by the claimed sender, and has not been
altered in any way, check Sign messages.

To encrypt all outgoing e-mail to protect the
contents of the message from being viewed by
anyone other than the intended recipient, check
Encrypt messages.
