Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the

WARNING
This pump must be monitored frequently (at least once a month, possibly more frequently if
used in water that is full of debris). If the pump becomes overly clogged with debris (leaves,
sticks, mud, etc.), excess pressure could cause the motor seal to weaken and water could
come in contact with the electric motor. If a proper GFCI outlet is not being used, hazardous
shock could occur. NEVER STAND IN WATER WITH A RUNNING PUMP!
Do not pump flammable or explosive liquids such as oil, gasoline, kerosene, ethanol, etc. Do not
use in the presence of flammable or explosive vapors. Using this pump with or near flammable
liquids can cause an explosion or fire, resulting in property damage, serious personal injury and/or
death.
Always disconnect the pump from its power source before inspection.
Do not stand in water when the pump is connected. Do not handle pump with wet hands.
Do not touch the pump housing while it is operating, as the pump may be HOT and can cause
serious skin burns.
Do not disassemble the motor housing. The motor has NO repairable parts and disassembling may
cause a dangerous electrical wiring issues.
Do not lift the pump by the power cord.
CAUTION
This waterfall pump is designed for continuous use in waterfall applications. The pump is built with
thermal overload protection and auto reset. The pump is equipped with a 3-prong grounding-type
power cord. The ball bearings on motor shafts never need lubrication. Pump only water with this
pump. This pump is not engineered to be run as a permanently installed sump pump. This pump
has not been tested or approved for use in swimming pools or in saltwater marine areas.
Do not pump saltwater with this pump, as it will damage the pump and void the warranty.
This pump is made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials. It will provide trouble-free
service for a long time when properly installed, maintained, and used. However, inadequate
electrical power to the pump or blockage by ice, dirt, or debris may cause the pump to fail. Please
carefully read the manual and follow the instructions regarding common pump problems and
remedies or call one of our pump experts at 1-800-346-7611.
