PREPARATION
WARNING: Always use handle to lift pump. Never use power cord to lift pump. To avoid skin
burns, unplug and allow time
for the pump to cool after periods of extended use.
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package
contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time (New installation): 30 minutes
Materials Required for Assembly (not included): 1-1/4 in. (or larger) PVC elbows, pipes, female
adaptors, rubber hose, double union ball valve, thread tape, PVC primer, and PVC cement.
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Wrench, Phillips screwdriver
The pump should rest on a level, solid base.
Do not suspend the pump by the discharge hose or power cord.
Keep the pump inlet screen clear.
Do not install pump directly on sand or dirt. The pond the pump is being placed into must have
an underlayment laid down to prevent the pump from being clogged with mud, debris, etc.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE
: The standard size of fittings and hoses to use with this pump is 1-1/4 in. However, by using
adaptors, larger fittings and hoses can be used, which can increase flow rates.
1. Wrap the threads of the 1-1/4 in.
discharge on pump (A) with thread tape
(sold separately). Thread the adaptor (B)
onto the 1-1/4 in. discharge. Hand tighten
the elbow and keep the discharge of the
elbow facing upward. Do not overtighten.
