OIL CHANGE

Drain the used oil while the engine is hot.

The hot oil drains quickly and completely.

1.

Turn the engine switch and vent the lever

to the OFF position to reduce the possibil-

ity of fuel leakage

2.

Loosen the screw on the cover and remove

the maintenance cover

3.

Place a suitable container next to the en-

gine to receive the used oil.

4.

Remove the filler cap / dipstick, and drain

the oil into the container by tilting the mo-

tor towards the oil filler neck.

5.

With the engine in a level position, fill to

the upper limit of the oil filler neck with

the recommended oil.

6.

Reinstall the filler cap / dipstick securely.

7.

Reinstall the maintenance cover and

tighten the cover screw firmly.

WARNING: The use of gasoline or flammable

solvent to clean the air filter can cause a fire or

an explosion. Use only soap and water or non-

flammable solvent.

1.

Loosen the screw on the cover and remove

the maintenance cover

2.

Loosen the screw on the air filter cover and

remove the air filter cover.

3.

Wash the main and external filter in a so-

lution of household detergent and warm

water, then rinse thoroughly or wash in

non-flammable or high-flash point solvent.

Allow the air filters to dry completely.

4.

Soak the main and external filter in clean

engine oil and squeeze out the excess oil.

The engine will produce smoke during ini-

tial startup if too much oil remains in the

air filters.

5.

Reinstall the air filters.

6.

Make sure that the rubber gasket is in the

groove of the air filter cover.

7.

Reinstall the air filter cover, and tighten

the screw on the air filter cover.

8.

Reinstall the maintenance cover, and tight-

en the cover screw firmly.

SPARKLE MAINTENANCE

In order to service the spark plug, you will need

a spark plug wrench (commercially available).

To ensure the proper functioning of the engine,

the spark plug must have the correct light and

free of deposits. If the engine has been running,

allow it to cool before servicing the spark plug.

1.

Remove the spark plug maintenance cover.

2.

Remove the spark plug cap.

3.

Clean the dirt around the spark plug base.

4.

Use a spark plug wrench to remove the

spark plug.

5.

Visually inspect the spark plug. Replace it if

the electrodes are worn or if the insulator

is cracked, chipped, or dirty.

6.

Measure the distance between the spark

plug electrodes with a gauge of wire type

thickness. Correct the distance, if neces-

sary, bending the side electrode carefully.

7.

Check that the sealing washer is in good

condition, and screw the spark plug by

hand to avoid over-threading.

8.

After the spark plug on your seat, tighten

with a spark plug wrench to compress the

washer.

9.

Reinstall the spark plug cap on the spark

plug.

10.  Reinstall the spark plug maintenance cover.
