BE CAREFUL WITH THE KICKBACK
The kickback is a sudden reaction.
 The punc-
tured or hooked produces a quick decrease
speed rate causing loose control of the tool
which is directed towards the side which is the
operator. The kickback is the result of an inap-
propriate tool use or an incorrect operation.
Can be avoided following these instructions:
1. Keep a firm grip with both hands on the
tool. Position your body properly to resist the
force of kickback. The operator can control
torque reactions if the correct warnings are
taken.
2. Never place your hand close to the rotating
accessory. It can cause a kickback over your
hand.
3. Never place your body on the kickback area;
the kickback will propel the tool to the oppo-
site direction of the rotation abrasive disc.
4. Use extra care when working with edges.
These tend to engage the disc.
5. Don’t use the tool with cutting saws. These
produce kickback.

the right, left or superior side. Your choice is
determined by your convenience and ability to

The guard is a security device to prevent
injuries caused by pieces of abrasive disc.

from the electrical
outlet.
2. Loosen the clamp
screws.
3. Position the guard
at the required angle.

ner flange is rotated.
4. Check the rated speed on the grinding disc.
Do not use a disc with a rated speed lower than
the speed shown on the grinder’s nameplate.
NOTE: The maximum disc thickness is 1/4”
(6,5mm), and the spindle opening is 7/8”
(22,3mm).
5. Place the disc on the spindle.
6. Replace the outer flange, with the flat side
of the flange facing the disc.
7. Press the spindle-lock button in order to pre-
vent the spindle from moving.
