The safety distance between the hot hob and the cabinets
above it must be at least 760 mm.
The safety distance between the hob and any object below it
must be at least 50 mm.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE HOB, MAKE SURE THAT
The countertop is square and level, and no structural elements
interfere with space requirements.
The countertop is made of a heat-resistant material.
If the hob is installed above an oven, the oven has an
integrated cooling fan.
The installation meets all approval requirements and
applicable standards and regulations.
A suitable isolating switch is incorporated into the permanent
wiring to allow total disconnection from the power supply,
mounted and positioned as to comply with the rules and
regulations applicable to local wiring.
The isolation switch must be of an approved type and provide
3 mm contact separation on all poles (or on all active
conductors if the local wiring rules allow for this variation of
the requirements).
The isolation switch will be easily accessible to the user with
the hob installed.
Consult local building authorities and regulations in case of
doubt regarding installation.
You use heat-resistant and easy-to-clean finishes (such as
ceramic tiles) for the wall surfaces surrounding the hob.
WHEN YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE HOB, MAKE SURE THAT:
The power supply cable is not accessible through cabinet
doors or drawers.
There is adequate flow of fresh air from outside the cabinets
to the base of the hob.
