• plug harness siren cable (marked with red) into siren connector (also marked with red)
• beginning at the end of the harness portion of the antenna cable, begin attaching spooled
antenna cable to outermost hydraulic lines with zip ties.
• follow hydraulic lines up the boom attaching antenna cable towards the outside
• at joints between boom sections run through cable protector sock containing the pump’s
hydraulic and other cables-be sure to leave enough slack to keep antenna cable form pulling
too tight
• at end of boom, trim of excess antenna and terminate using provided Antenna Termination
Kit
• strip black and white wire approx. 1/2”
• use orange wire cap provided to twist wires together
• install provided heat shrink to secure the wire cap in place
• strip wire sheath back approximately 1 inch
• strip ends of black and white wire approximately 1/4 inch
• insert black wire into terminal 1
and tighten screw
• insert white wire into terminal 2

expanded view of antenna connector
• install the antenna connector on the harness end of antenna wire (see diagram below).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Antenna wire ends MUST be connected together-otherwise the Voltek NS will indicate an
antenna fault (indicated by dashed lines on E-field meter) and will not function.
• plug Antenna Attenuator in between harness portion of antenna (indicated by white band)
and boom portion of antenna
• the Antenna Attenuator decreases the overall sensitivity by over 50% and is used for antenna
longer than 30 meters or 100’.
• the attenuator can be removed to increase the sensitivity, however you will experience earlier
warning for power lines
You are now ready to use your Voltek NS system
