• E-stop/hydraulic integration can shutdown equipment
or hydraulics when you are too close to power lines
• Antenna self test
Voltek Ns features:
Voltek NS User Guide
Page 3
The Spotter allows you to operate the Voltek NS remotely.
It features the same controls and user interface as the NS
with the addition of a warning button to sound the siren in
an emergency and a shutdown button to stop or shutdown
your equipment (if integrated).
• 500’+ transmission range
• 40+ hours continuous run time between charges
• Back-lit display
• IP67 water, dust, and shock resistant
• “Warning” button allows operator to sound the siren for
emergency situations
• “Shutdown” button allows operator to shut down
equipment in emergency situations
• Quickly and wirelessly links with any Voltek NS
SPOTTER features:
how it works:
• Power lines are surrounded by an electric field (E-field).
• The strength of the E-field surrounding the power line is dependent on several variables such
as but not limited to: voltage, the presence of multiple lines, and distance
• The NS uses a wire antenna running the length of the boom or mast of the equipment on
which it is installed to detect E-field along it’s entire length.
• The NS detects the relative strength of the E-field, translating it into audible and visual cues
to help you stay away from power lines.
• Adjustable sensitivity allows the NS to compensate for higher or lower voltage power lines or
overall distance from a power line
• The NS can be connected to the E-stop or hydraulic “dead-man” circuit on your pump
