Drip Tray (6)

The Drip Pan (6) protects the Water Container (12) and heater from juices produced by the cooking foods.
If these get into the water in the Container (12), they may damage the element and the surfaces of it.

The Rice Container (3)

When cooking rice, add water to the Rice Container (3) in addition to the water in the Water
Container (12). The volume of water added to the Rice Container (3) should be roughly one and a
quarter times the volume of the rice.

Put the Rice Container (3) in the Upper Basket (4a). Juices from other foods will alter the flavour of
the rice, and the additional liquid may make the rice mushy.

The Separator (2)

This fits across the centre of the smallest Basket (4), although it can be used in any of the Baskets (4).

TIPS

In order to reduce the cooking time, fill up the Water Container (12) with lukewarm water.

Do not put the food too closely. Leave some place, so that steam can flow through well.

If you cook a larger quantity of food, remove  the Lid (1) after half the cooking time, agitate the food
gently and close the Lid (1) again.
