Remove  the  tea  Basket  (10)  from  the  Teapot  (7)  and  clean  the  Teapot  (7)  using  the  customary 
manner  for  glassware.  You  can  wash  the  Teapot  (7)  by  hand  you  can  also  clean  it  in  the 
dishwasher.   

 

Clean  the  Teapot’s  Tea/Coffee  Basket  (10)  and  the  Lid  (8)  with  a  soft  washing-up  brush  and  a 
few  drops  of  washing-up  liquid.  Rinse  the  Basket  (10)  thoroughly  and  dry  the  Basket  (10)  and 
the  Lid  (8). 

Note: 

 

Never  use  corrosive  or  scouring  cleaning  agents  or  sharp  objects  (such  as  knives,  hard  brushes 
etc.) to clean  the  appliance.   

 

Never immerse  the  Kettle  (11) or Base (1) into  the  water. Never put  them  into  the dishwasher. 

 

Make sure  that  the  electrical  connections  do not become  damp. 

 

Before  cleaning,  make  sure  that  the  appliance  is  not  connected  to  the  power  supply  and  that  it 
has cooled  down. 

 
DESCALING  THE  FILTER 

Clean  the  Kettle’s  (11) descaling  Filter  (15) at regular  intervals  using  the  following  procedure: 

 

Open the Kettle’s  Lid  (12). 

 

Remove  the  descaling  Filter  (15) from  the Kettle  (11) by pulling  it  upwards  at the angle. 

 

Clean  the  descaling  Filter  (15) with  a soft  washing-up  brush. 

 

If  necessary,  you  can  also  leave  the  descaling  Filter  (15)  to  soak  in  a  vinegar  or  lemon  juice 
solution  for a few  hours.   

Important!

  Do not  use other  descaling  removers. 

 

Rinse  the  Filter  (15) thoroughly,  and dry it  carefully. 

 

Fit  the  Filter  (15)  to  the  Kettle  (11)  by  aligning  it  with  the  guides  in  the  Spout  (15)  and  then 
pressing  downwards  at an angle.  Carefully  press the filter  into  position  until  it  blocks. 

 

Descaling the Teapot/Coffeepot  (7) 

A  layer  of  scale  can  form  in  the  Teapot  (7),  especially  in  areas  with  hard  water. You  can  descale  the 
Teapot (7) using  vinegar  or lemon  juice. 

With  lemon  juice: 

 

Warm  up 1 L of water 

 

Add 50 ml.  of  lemon  juice 

 

Allow  the  solution  to soak for  1 hour,  without  boiling. 

With  vinegar: 

 

Fill  the  Teapot (7) with  50 ml.of  vinegar. 

 

Allow  this  to soak for  1 hour,  without  boiling. 

After  descaling,  rinse  the  Kettle  (11) and the Teapot  (7) with  clean  water. 

Note: 

Never  descale  the  Kettle  (11)  and  the  Teapot  (7)  using  other  agents  than  lemon  juice  or 

vinegar.  Other  products  could  be harmful  to your  health  and/or  damage  the appliance.
