eDP connector
The UDOO VISION board offer a dedicated embedded Display Port interface.
For the connection of this kind of displays, on-board there
is a VESA
®
certified connectors for embedded Display Port
interface, type STARCONN p/n 300E30-0110RA-G3 or
equivalent (microcoaxial cable connector, 0.5mm pitch, 30
positions).
On this connector, BKLT_VCC and LCD_VCC are the software-enabled voltage rails that can
be used to supply the LCD and related Backlight Unit.
The LCD software-driven voltage, i.e. signal LCD_VCC, can be factory regulated to be
connected to +3.3_ALW or +5V_ALW.
Instead, the backlight software-driven voltage, i.e. signal BKLT_VCC, can be factory regulated
to be connected to +5V_ALW or +12V_ALW.
These are factory configurations, please take care of specifying which is the configuration
needed for LCD_VCC and BKLT_VCC voltage rail.
Here following the signals involved in eDP management:
eDP0_P/eDP0_N : embedded DP differential data pair #0.
eDP1_P/eDP1_N: embedded DP differential data pair #1.
eDP_AUX_N/eDP_AUX_P: embedded DP auxiliary channel differential data pair.
eDP_HPD: embedded DP Hot Plug Detect.
BKLT_PWM: this signal can be used to adjust the backlight brightness in displays supporting
Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) regulations (electrical level +3.3V_RUN).
eDP_BKLTEN: Backlight enable signal, electrical level +3.3V_RUN.
