Troubleshooting
•
Most errors refer back to IP subnet or DHCP issues. Secondary issues are Ethernet and power supply.
•
Should an AP go offline (Isolated Status), check Layer 1 first: Ethernet cable(s) connected to AP / switch / router / PC.
•
Ensure either a 48v PoE Injector brick or a PoE 802.3af/at Switch is supplying power.
•
PoE Power Injector supplies data and power to Access Point from the port labeled “POE”. “LAN” connects to switch or PC.
•
Access Point should have Ethernet cable plugged into port labeled “MAIN”.
•
Check the UniFi Controller software setup. Ensure all settings are consistent with the above documentation.
•
Ensure subnet of the Controller matches the IP range of the access points.
•
If no cause or solution is found, factory reset the access point using the reset button. A paperclip or similar will be required.
Hold down Reset button for approximately 10-20 seconds, until LED light ring shuts off. DO NOT CONTINUE TO HOLD RESET
BUTTON AFTER AP LIGHT SHUTS OFF. Re-provision as per above.
•
Should a reset and re-provision fail to correct the issue, book a Service Call to have the AP swapped out.
