created, the devices can recognize the partnership and exchange information
without entering a PIN again. Make sure the two devices are within a range of 10
meters from one another with Bluetooth on and discoverable.
To create a Bluetooth partnership
On your device, tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Bluetooth .
On the Devices tab, tap Add new device . Your device searches for other
Bluetooth devices and lists them in the box.
Tap the desired device name in the box.
Tap Next .
Enter a passkey to establish a secure connection. (The passkey must be
between 1 and 16 characters.)
Tap Next .
Enter the same passkey on the other device, and possibly to edit and enter
a new name for the other device.
Tap Finish .
To accept a Bluetooth partnership
Ensure that Bluetooth is turned on and in discoverable mode.
Tap Yes when portended to establish a partnership with the other device.
Enter a passkey (the same passkey that is entered on the device requesting
the partnership) to establish a secure connection. The passkey must be
between 1 and 16 characters.
Tap Next .
Tap Finish to start exchanging information with the other device.
To rename a Bluetooth partnership
Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Bluetooth .
Tap and hold the partnership on the Devices tab.
On the shortcut menu, tap Edit .
Enter a new name for the partnership.
Tap Save .
To delete a Bluetooth partnership
Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Bluetooth .
Tap and hold the partnership on the Devices tab.
Tap Delete from the shortcut menu.
To beam information using Bluetooth
On the device, tap and hold an item to beam. The item could be an
appointment in your calendar, a task, a contact card, or a file.
Tap Beam [type of item] .
Tap the device name to which you want to send the beam. The item is
beamed to the device you selected.
Note If the device you want to beam to does not appear in the box, make sure
that it is turned on, discoverable, and within close range (10 meters) of
your device.
