ASSEMBLY PACKET

The assembly packet is with the owner's guide. The

packet contains one machine bolt and nut to fasten the

handle assembly to the container.

CAUTION! Fully assemble the vacuum cleaner

before using.

1.  Open the dust bag cover. Slide the metal portion of

the handle assembly down the channel until it fully

seats on the lower retainer. (See Figure 1) Insert the

machine screw through the housing and handle.

Twist on nut and tighten. Close dust bag cover.

2.  Plug extension cord into the pigtail connection.

Secure the cord assembly into the retainers at the
back of the handle. (See Figure 2)

3.  To store the power cord, lift out the lower cord hook

and wrap the cord around the upper and lower

cord hooks. (See Figure 3) The lower cord hook can

be stored flat on the cleaner when not in use.

4.  The power cord can be quickly released by pivoting

the upper cord hook downward. Return the upper

hook to the upright position for cord storage.

(See Figure 4)

On models with cleaning attachments, place the wand

into the lower retainer. Make sure the suction valve is set

to the floor cleaning position. Secure the wand into the

wand clip.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance must be grounded. If it should

malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path

of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the

risk of electric shock.

The appliance is equipped with a cord having an

equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug.

The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet

that is properly installed and grounded in accordance

with all local codes and ordinances.
