2.5 Turning on

When cabling is completed, JBOD system can be turned on. This should be

done in the following order:

1. First turn on the power switch of JBOD system.

2. Secondly turn on the power switch of RAID system.

NOTE:

RAID controller is required for RAID support.

This step is to ensure

users to understand the sequence of turning off machines when a RAID
system is involved in configuration.

3. Power on and boot the host computer.

2.6 Turning Off

When turning off JBOD system, users are advised to first shut down the host

computer, then power off RAID system, finally power off JBOD system.
