Warnings and Cautions
TVsurf should be placed on a horizontal stable surface and about 10cm
from any object for good ventilation. Avoid covering the top of the unit.
Do not place the unit in direct sunlight, near a heat source or near any
water, oil or smoke.
Never attempt to repair the defective unit yourself. Opening and removing
the cover may expose you to dangerous hazards. Always consult an au-
thorised service personnel.
Clean the unit with a soft and dry cloth when necessary. Do not pour or
use any chemical cleaners on TVsurf as it may have a detrimental effect
on the unit.
When removing AC power plug, always hold the plug and not the cable.
Troubleshooting
No dial tone message
•
Check the telephone connection. Ensure that the line is connected and
is not engaged.
•
Test the telephone connection to the ISP by connecting the telephone
line to your phone and dial the ISP phone number. If it is engaged, wait
for a few minutes and reconnect. If you do not hear a dial-tone, contact
the ISP helpdesk number or the public telephone service line.
•
Is an outer line number necessary before the actual ISP number is
dialled
•
Check that the phone line cable is connected from the wall socket to the
"line" input of TVsurf.
