3.6 Switching on your TV
Switch on your TV and select a video channel/source. This could either be
the channel/source from your video recorder or Laser Disc or Video com-
pact disc player. For example, 10, 11, 12 or AV1, AV2, AV3...etc. Refer to
your TV manual for more information.
3.7 Switching on TVsurf
After you have ensured that all the connections and the placement of TVsurf
is alright, please switch it on. The ON/OFF switch is located at the top left
of TVsurf's back panel. You may also press the [Power] button on the
remote control or [On/Off] key on the wireless keyboard.
When TVsurf is on, a front page is loaded. This front page works like a
web page. Click on other links to find out about TVsurf and the makers of
TVsurf. This front page may be different from the one shown on Page 3-8.
3.8 Setting Up TVsurf
Before you are able to access the Internet, you are required to set up sev-
eral options.
TVsurf has five setups that can be changed while the browser is running.
1. Connection Environment
2. Browser Environment
3. Mail Environment
4. Template Configuration
5. System Environment
For the Internet and Mail access using TVsurf, just setup the Connection
Environment, Browser Environment and Mail Environment. There is no
immediate necessity to set up the Template Configuration and System En-
vironment options at this moment (you may want to go through it later).
The Setup screen will be displayed when "Setup" is selected from the
Browser menu. See Figure 3-10 on Page 3-8.
