Troubleshooting

This chapter summarizes the most common problems you could encounter with the appliance.

Problem

Possible cause

Solution

The air fryer does not
work

The appliance is not
plugged in.

Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket.

You have not set the
timer.

Turn the timer knob to the required
preparation time to switch on the appliance.

You have set the timer to

a shorter time than 5

minutes.

Set the timer to a time of 5 minutes or more.

Several appliances are

connected to one socket.

Try a different socket and check the fuses.

The air fryer has a power of 1300W.

The outside of the

appliance becomes

hot during use.

The outside of the

appliance becomes hot

because the heat inside

radiates to the outside

walls.

This is normal. But the handles, knobs that

you need to touch during use will still stay cool

enough to touch.

The fry pot, rack and the inside of the fryer will

always become hot when the appliance is

switched on to ensure the food is properly

cooked. The fry pot and rack are always too

hot to touch.

The ingredients fried
with the air fryer are
not done.

The amount of
ingredients in the fry pot
is too big.

Put smaller batches of ingredients in the fry
pot. Smaller batches are fried more evenly.

The set temperature is
too low.

Turn the temperature control knob to the
required temperature setting (see ‘food table’).

The preparation time is
too short.

Turn the timer knob to the required
preparation time (see ‘food table’).

The ingredients are

Certain types of

Ingredients that lie on top of or across each
