Overpressure Valve
10.2.2.
Organic solvents must not be used for cleaning purposes. Avoid the use of cleaning sprays, spray
disinfectants, or strong detergents as they could damage the instrument.
The pump and the overpressure valve should be wiped off, if required, with a moistened soft, lint-free
cloth or tissue to remove any adhering dirt. A pH-neutral detergent solution can also be used for
moistening. Detergent residues should then be wiped off.

Decontamination Air Supply Pump
In order to decontaminate the air supply pump, the air filter and rubber seal (see Section 10.2.1), as
well as connection tubing to the overpressure valve should first be removed. The filter should be
decontaminated separately.
After the filter, the rubber seal and connection tubing have been removed and the pump has been
cleaned, it can be decontaminated with H2O2 vapor
before it is brought into the test laboratory.
The connection tubing can be wiped off with a disinfectant approved for plastics.
Decontamination filter
Every filter should be decontaminated before use. To decontaminate the filter, immerse it in
disinfectant alcohol for 15min, then remove all alcohol traces by drying it in a fume hood.
