Ensure that the polarity is correct i.e. brown or red wire to “+”
and blue or black to “–”. The polarity is marked on the Surge
Damper.
If the connections are transposed there is a risk of ca-
bles burning and the pressure switch can be damaged.
Important notes
For the convenience of the user a main isolation switch (not in
the scope of delivery) must be used.
The main switch (rated at min. 5 A) must cut off the power
supply to the pressure switch when the water system is not in
use.
The main switch should be positioned so that it is convenient
for the user to operate.
Aligning the pressure switch
The integrated pressure switch has an intelligent control se-
quence to ensure a comfortable function of the water pump
regardless of the momentary atmospheric pressure and
battery power (10 V to 14 V).
After installation the pressure switch must be aligned
to the used water pump and the water system in the
caravan.
A new electronic is set to the full position clockwise (+).
To align the pressure switch with the water system proceed as
following:
1. The Ultraflow Surge Damper must be
fitted in the cold
water supply
with the shortest possible route to the water
supply housing.
2. The pipe work should be concealed in cupboards or under
bed-lockers etc., but should
not
be run under the floor of
the caravan.
3. The accessibility of existing electrical and water connections
should be taken into consideration.
4. Bring the Ultraflow Surge Damper into installation position
and fasten to a suitable wall with two screws.
Electrical connection
The Ultraflow Surge Damper
connects on one side directly
to the Ultraflow water supply
housing (to the water pump).

The power supply connects the pressure switch, via a main
switch, to the filtered caravan 12 V supply (max. 0.5 V AC).
Power packs and power supply units must have a stabilised
12 V-output (ripple content less than 0.5 V). The use of an
unfiltered power supply will cause an increased wear of the
pump motor and can damage the electronics.
