If the supply air is in-
troduced to the device
through a side aperture, the
rear tensioning band must be
arranged in the centre (see
Figs. C + D).
2. Mark out the floor aper-
tures „KO“ for the conden-
sate water drain, and „LA“ for
the supply air outlet.
Before starting any drilling,
always ensure that there
are no cables, gas lines,
frame sections, or similar
items located or concealed
behind the drilling area!
3. Take out the installation
template and drill or cut out
the apertures. Then seal the
edges of the openings in the
floor of the vehicle with un-
derbody protection.
4. Secure the retaining brack-
et (HW) with three screws.
Position the tensioning bands
(8) as shown, and secure it to
the vehicle floor with the four
securing brackets (9) provid-
ed, using two screws each.
5. Secure the protective grille
provided (10) with suitable
screws or clamps (not includ-
ed in the scope of supply) to
the vehicle floor, from be-
neath.
When installing the device
be sure that the condensa-
tion water drain tube does
not get folded. This would
lead to leaks, and the con-
densation water could
penetrate into the vehicle!
6. Slide the condensation wa-
ter hose (11) onto the metal
tube on the underside of the
device, and place the air-con-
ditioning unit into the installa-
tion space in such a way that
the apertures in the base of
the appliance are located pre-
cisely above the apertures in
the floor of the vehicle.
In order to guarantee trou-
ble-free air circulation, the
apertures in the base of
the appliance and the floor
of the vehicle must be lo-
cated precisely above one
another. If this is not en-
sured, it cannot be guaran-
teed that the device will
work without any prob-
lems!
7. Secure the air-conditioning
device with the tensioning
bands. To do this, guide the
tensioning bands (8) through
the buckle (12) as shown in
the illustration and tighten it.
Installing the
infra-red receiver
The receiver (14) is to be fit-
ted for preference on the
clothes cabinet in such a way
that the remote control can
be pointed at it without any
hinderance (length of con-
nection cable 3 m). If neces-
sary, a 3-metre cable exten-
sion can be supplied
(Art. no. 40040-34800).
If it is not possible to in-
stal the receiver be-
neath the wall surface, on re-
quest Truma can provided a
surface-mounting frame (15 -
Art. no. 40000-52600) as a
special accessory.

Drill a hole 55 mm in
diameter. Lead the cable
through from behind and
secure the receiver with
4 screws (16). Then fit on the
cover frame (17), lay the ca-
ble to the air-conditioning
unit, and plug it into the rear
of the unit.
To round off the ap-
pearance of the cover
frame, Truma can provide
side pieces (18) as special
accessories in 8 different
colours (please ask your
dealer).
230 V electrical
connection
The electrical connec-
tion may only be car-
ried out by a qualified profes-
sional installer (in Germany,
for example, qualified in ac-
cordance with VDE 0100,
Part 721). The instructions
given here are not a challenge
to the lay person to carry out
the electrical connection, but
serve to provide additional in-
formation for the professional
fitter whom you engage!
Establish the connection to
the mains with the connec-
tion cable, 150 cm long, to a
lead in the vehicle, fused to
at least 10 A.
It is essential to ensure the
correct cable colours are
connected!
All cables must be secured
with cable clips!
For maintenance or repair
work, an isolating device
must be provided on the ve-
hicle side to provide all-pole
isolation from the mains, with
a contact interval of at least
3 mm.
Cold air distribution
and circulating air
return feed
Cold air distribution
The cold air nozzles on the
unit (19, 20 + 21) are de-
signed for the cold air pipe
KR 65, dia. 65 mm. The tubes
must be secured to the de-
vice with clips (23 - Special
Accessory Art. no. 39050-
71800).
The tube KR 65, dia. 65 mm,
must be connected to all
three cold air nozzles, with at
least one outlet.
Slide the air tubes (22) over
the cold air nozzles on the
device, secure them with
clips (23 - Special Accessory
Art. no. 39050-71800), and
lay them rising from the de-
vice to the air outlet nozzles.
Important note:
The cold air
distribution is designed for
each vehicle type individually,
on the modular principle. A
broad range of accessories is
available for this (see
brochure).
To achieve the best possible
cooling performance, we rec-
ommend that:
1. The air outlet nozzles be fit-
ted in the upper part of the
vehicle (see installation exam-
ple on Page B).
2. In total a maximum of
15 metres of air pipe may be
used for cold air distribution.
3. The longest air tube (max.
8 m) be connected to nozzle
(19), since this one offer the
greatest air throughput.
4. Lay the air tubes as short
as possible and in a straight
line to the air outlet nozzles.
5. To prevent condensation in
the cold air pipes, do not
route pipes anywhere near
heat sources (e.g. power
supplies or behind the refrig-
erator).
Circulating air return
The circulating air is sucked
in again by the device, either
through an additional air grille
(1 - Special Accessory Art.
no. 40040-29200), for exam-
ple in the wall of the stowage
compartment, or via a num-
ber of smaller apertures with
a total surface area of at least
300 cm
2 .
Important note:
To ensure
trouble-free air exchange, the
air infeed from the interior of
the vehicle to the installation
location must be located in
the immediate vicinity of the
device. If appropriate, covers
are to be fitted, in order to
avoid the circulating air return
being impeded by stowed
objects.
Truma supplies a flexi-
ble air conditioning in-
take (Art. no. 40040-59000)
as a special accessory for in-
stalling the equipment in an
area that is sealed off from
the interior (e.g. false floor or
rear compartment).
The scope of delivery of the
flexible air conditioning intake
includes a particle filter. The
particle filter that is supplied
as an original accessory can-
not be used in combination
with the flexible air condition-
ing intake.
Function test/
Mounting for the
remote control
Position the mounting for the
remote control as close as
possible to the receiver (14),
in order to allow for the air-
conditioning system to be
operated without removing
the remote control from its
mounting.
In conclusion, all the func-
tions of the device need to be
tested in accordance with the
Operating Instructions.
The Operating Instructions
and the completed guarantee
card are to be handed over to
the vehicle owner.
