Troubleshooting
Most troubleshooting problems are easy to resolve. Review the
troubleshooting chart below for answers to common problems.

PROBLEM
SOLUTION
The ice auger will not start.
• Depress the Safety Control Button and the Trigger ON/
OFF Switch simultaneously to power the ice auger.
• Check that the battery is charged.
• Check that the battery is fully engaged into the battery
receptacle on the powerhead.
Auger blades jump on ice.
• Sharpen or replace auger blades.
Auger blades turn slowly on ice.
• Sharpen or replace point.
• Replace blades.
Auger is jammed into the hole being cut.
• Release the trigger switch. Move the forward/reverse
lever into “reverse” and attempt to power the auger out.
If this does not work, remove the battery and manually
unwind the auger from the ice.
