Connect Accessory to Network:
Connect a standard Ethernet patch cable to
the RJ45 Ethernet port on the Accessory.
Note: This port does not support PoE
(Power over Ethernet) applications.

Connect Accessory to Power:
(Refer to Figure 1, Figure 2a or Figure 2b.)
There are two ways to connect the Accessory to power:
• Connect the AC Adapter

to the Accessory via the port labeled “DC Power”

and plug the other end into an AC power source supported by a UPS
(Figure 1) or Inverter/Charger (Figure 2a).
• Connect one end of the 12V DC Cable
A
to the Accessory via the port
labeled “DC Power”
B
and connect the other end

directly to the Inverter/
Charger

. This feature is available on select models only.
Note: The Accessory must be plugged into a power source protected by a UPS or
Inverter/Charger in order to maintain communications during a power outage.

Using the standard serial cable provided, connect one end to the Accessory port
