Notes:
a)

On the 2nF range, the meter will indicate residual capacitance without a

capacitor inserted into the Cx socket. This is usually less than 0.020nF.

b)

If the capacitor to be measured is too large to insert into the Cx socket, or

it is installed in a piece of equipment, the provided Capacitance Extension
Lead can be used to make a measurement. Insert the Extension Lead into
the Cx socket. Use the clip leads on the other end of the Lead to make
connection to the capacitor to be tested.

c)

The Capacitance Extension Lead may introduce error if used on the low

capacitance ranges (like 2nF and 20nF). To minimize the error, note the
difference in reading with the lead inserted into Cx and with the lead removed
from Cx, and when using the lead, subtract the noted difference from the
    displayed reading.

7.13   Measuring Frequency:

 WARNING!!!

When in the FREQUENCY measurement mode, do not connect input

of meter to voltages exceeding 30 volts peak-to-peak.  Doing so may
produce inaccurate results, and damage the meter or injure the user.

7.13.1

Connect the black test lead to the

COM

jack, and the red test lead to

VOLT / OHM / BEEPER / DIODE / FREQ.

  “

kHz

” jack.

7.13.2

Set the RANGE switch to the

20kHz

 position.

7.13.3

Connect the test leads to the device or circuit being measured.

7.13.4

Read frequency on the LCD display
