Troubleshooting Table
Problem:
Possible Cause:
Don't Call for Service
Until You:
Lights will not come on.
Did not press the start-up sequence to bypass the
lockout.
Check electrical power to the appliance.
Press and release the “LIGHTS” button once.
Check control pad to fountain connections.
See “Operating Instructions”.
Water sprays will not
come on.
Did not press the start-up sequence to bypass the
lockout.
Check electrical power to the appliance.
Press and release the “FOUNTAIN” button once.
Check water level in the tank.
Check control pad to fountain connections.
See “Operating Instructions”.
Turn on water supply to the fountain
and check for kinks in the water
supply line.
Flames will not come on.
The water sprays must be on for the flames to come
on.
Press and release the “WATER” button once.
Press and release the “FLAMES” button once.
The thermal protection snap disc is tripped.
Check gas supply to the appliance.
Check to see if the ON/OFF switch lever on the gas
control valve is vertical, in the ON position. See
illustrations on page 19.
Check for flames on the pilot.
Check for startup spark ignition clicking noise.
Check for gas to the pilot.
Check control pad to fountain connections.
Check electrical connections.
This is normal. A built-in safety
feature.

down and the snap disc will reset.
An individual
component, flame,
water, or light, cycles
on and off repeatedly
Control box conductor wires connected to the
terminal block incorrectly or in contact with
other connectors.
Check control box conductor wires
and terminal block.
Flame goes out
The flame will automatically go out if it has been
running for two hours.
This is normal. A built-in safety
feature.
Flames are too blue
The flames have just been started.
Improper primary air adjustment.
Steam generated by the fountain is interfering with
the flames.
This is normal.
Adjust primary air - contact your
dealer
This is normal. Turn the flames off to
let the water in the fountain cool
down
