Problems and Solutions
The motor will not start:
1. Move the accelerator lever for the position
indicated in accordance with page 49 and 50.
2.
Certify that the fuel reservoir is full with clean
gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Do not use
gasoline that is standing for too long or dirty.
3.
Make sure the spark plug wire is connected.
4.
The engine can be with excess of gasoline,
remove the spark plug cable, the spark plug and
dry it if wet. Pull the start rope a few times without
the spark plug, following assemble the spark plug,
the cable and proceed according to the indication
at page 49 and 50 in order to start the engine. This
procedure will help un-flood the engine.
5. Make sure the brake retractable lever is in
operation position.
6.
According to these recommendations, if the
engine does not work, look for a TRAPP
Authorized Technical Assistant.
Poor motor performance:
1. Check the height of the cut. Increase the cut height
if the grass is high.
2.
Check the lower part of the mower. Clean the
grass and debris from the inside of the mower.
3.
Verify the spark plug cable. Certify if the cable is
correctly connected.
4.
Clean the motor cooling fin.
5. Verify the spark plug opening. Gauge the spark
plug opening according to indication in the
engine manual.
6.
Check the motor air filter; keep it clean.
7.
The gasoline is bad. Empty and clean the fuel
reservoir. Fill in the tank with clean fuel (regular
gasoline).
Excessive vibration:
1. Remove the blade. Check and balance if
necessary. Refer to the instructions in the manual.
2.
Check for fissures or dents on the blade.
A damaged blade is dangerous and must be
replaced.
3.
Check the blade securing flange. Replace if
damaged.
4.
If vibration continues, take the mower to a TRAPP
Authorized Technical Assistance.
Grass is not properly collected:
1. Clean the lower part of the mower.
2.
Verify if the blade tab is not worn or the cutting
line is not sharp; sharpen or exchange the blade
if necessary.
3.
Move the accelerator control lever for the Fast
position, in the direction of the bunny symbol,
but do not position in the choke indication after
the engine is hot. Verify is the engine speed is in
accordance.
4.
Verify of the knife is correctly mounted.
5. Verify the grass humidity, only cut with dry grass,
the wet grass makes it hard to collection. It is not
recommended to cut the grass in the first hours of
the day, if you desire to collect the grass.
6.
Verify the grass height and the mower adjustment
height, if necessary, cut the grass in steps.
7.
For a good collection result, perform the grass
cutting in lawns without the presence of humidity.
Grass is not cut:
1. Check height adjustment in each wheel. It must be
the same for all wheels.
2.
Make sure the blade is sharp.
3.
Check whether the blade is dented or broken.
A damaged blade is dangerous and must be
replaced.
4.
Verify of the knife is correctly mounted.
Important:
Frequently check that the nuts and bolts are
tightened.
Do not allow grass to build up under the grass
mower base.
Always check the cutting blade, ensuring that
it is well balanced and firmly attached to the
engine shaft.
When required, seek TRAPP Technical
Assistance.
