Connecting to a Computer
︱
The StoreJet 35U3 can be connected to your computer using a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port. To get the best
performance results from your hard drive, we strongly recommend connecting your StoreJet 35U3 directly to
a USB 3.0 port.
Connecting to Notebook or PC using USB
Windows

Connect the power cable to the Power Adapter and plug it into your home’s power outlet. Then connect
the Power Adapter to the StoreJet 35U3’s round-shaped DC power input jack.

Plug the square-shaped end of the USB cable into the StoreJet 35U3.
3.
Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your PC
4.

if the temperature control program confirms the ambient temperature has reached the default value.
(The default value is 45°C)
5.
When the StoreJet 35U3 is successfully connected to a computer, Windows will automatically detect and
install drivers for it.
6.

existing hard drive
into the StoreJet 35U3 that was previously used with a Windows
computer, a new
